Your Tribe Level 2

In the past 100 years, people have moved from a tribal situation in the country to a point where their tribes are now the factories that they work in. In these factories, they would find lifelong friends, and they would put themselves in a position where they knew exactly where they were, this is whether they were on the assembly line, in the high-rise office, or on the floor pushing a broom. Even in a large hospital, the workers for a tribe where you have chiefs, medicine men, warriors (those that clean the bedpans because this takes lots of courage).

Today because the factory jobs are going to other countries and robots, people are lost and left without their tribe.  Even people who retire after 40 or 50 years become totally lost because their tribe is no longer there.  Today the most important thing is that we have millions of people who are looking for a tribe, but there are very few leaders of tribes because these were all done by corporations or religions before this time.

The most important thing that a tribe today needs is a leader. A leader will assemble a group of people with similar interests and guide them. Not only is the market looking for leaders, but people are also looking for spiritual leaders, as they feel like the ones before had betrayed them.  Even with yoga many people left India 100 years ago and brought yoga to the United States.  Many think that it has been watered down to fit into American markets. There is no need to wait to begin to be a leader.  You can do this today!

As we have learned in our earlier lessons, we have discovered what our true passion is in life, now that you know this you can surround yourself with people that have similar interests and passions. To become a true leader you need to learn how to put others first.  People will always know to follow a leader that has their best interest at heart. Watching the video in this lesson about why leaders eat last, will help you understand leadership.

Leading a tribe is not about management.  Management involves manipulating people into doing things that they really do not want to do. Management is more like a boot camp. Boot camps were formed during the Civil War to train soldiers to have no compassion and to train the enemy at will. They noticed in the first few battles that the majority of the soldiers who lay dead on the field had never fired their guns.

They created boot camps to destroy their moral sense and compassion for other human beings, as well as to follow the leader no matter what he told them to do. This is very similar to corporations today where people say “I was just doing my job.” “I sold people mortgages that they couldn’t afford.” “I threw people on the street to be homeless.”  “but I was just doing my job.” As the Nazi soldiers threw men, women, and children into gas chambers, they too said “But I was just doing my job.”

A true leader will find people that they do not have to brainwash to motivate. They will already be looking for people who have a direction or idea of where they want to go.  Management is involved in making widgets and products, leadership involves helping people achieve their personal goals (being kind to the environment, making sure everyone has enough food, and everyone feels safe and valued for doing what they do.)

A leader needs to take a stand on a position. When they do this, the followers or other people that are like-minded will follow them.  A leader will become more powerful by engaging others in helping create rapid change in the world. Because of the ease of communication, we can connect easily with people who have the same passions and motivations as our own.  Leaders also need to connect to a group of people physically to help them and the tribe stay motivated.

A leader will be starting a movement whether this is dancing, self-driving cars, or dinosaurs on Mars. If you want to find your tribe, one quick way is to become a leader. What can you do in the next few weeks to find and locate your tribe and start leading them? Do you need to lead them to flying kites in the park, or yoga classes, or show them how to give love and compassion to others? If you are looking for a leader, the best way to find a leader is to become one.  As we have learned the best way to get anything is to give it away.

You can start connecting with people, arrange meeting rooms, or videoconference, and start communicating with your tribe.

What is Kaivala?

There are three levels of enlightenment.

The first level of enlightenment is Nirvana. This is where we learn to disconnect from judgment, and clearly observe the world.

The second level of enlightenment is Samadhi. This is where we have gathered all of the knowledge about the universe.

The last of the three levels of enlightenment is Kaivala.

Kaivala is when we are completely connected, and we become of service.

Some of us are living our lives and trying to patch problems with Duct Tape. Let's make a permanent change! Join us on the road to Kaivala!
